Vectren Gas Regulator Station Inspections

Americas Engineers Project

Facility Assessment to Identify Maintenance Items

Americas Engineers, Inc. performed visual assessments on over 300 Gas Regulator Stations, owned and operated by Vectren Corporation. From small regulator stations feeding residential subdivisions to large commercial and industrial regulator stations, AEI performed a detailed inspection with photographic documentation of every site.

From these inspections, Americas Engineers, Inc. created a two-page report identifying all the immediate, short-term, and long-term maintenance items. This includes a brief site description, a site map, verbal location identification of each site. Prior to these inspections, some site location descriptions were as vague as a town or road name.

These reports allowed facility’s managers to fix immediate repairs, such as site security issues, and budget for upcoming repairs. Due to the age of these facilities, some required major repairs.
